Dolores is another step ahead in Disaster Preparedness as about 200 participants joined the Training on Crisis Management and Disaster Response. No less than Engr. Francis Cabel, the author of the Municipalities’ Crisis Management Plan Manual served as trainor and resource speaker during the event. The crisis management plan identifies and designates key roles that has to be assumed when a crisis incident happens. It creates a threat assessment group, a crisis management team, a go team and a special assistance team, each with each own responsibilities. A simulation of a 7.5 magnitude earthquake was done and as this is the first of its kind in the Province, gaps were identiried. However, the body assured that they will be addressed to be better prepared for the next drill or the next calamity. The next drill is teantatively set on September 28 during the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.
