1. This competition is called SAKUTING FESTIVAL STREET DANCING/ SHOWDOWN. There will be two (2) categories for this competition:
A. BARANGAY / SCHOOL CATEGORY – Contingents for this category is STRICTLY residents from the municipality of DOLORES.
B. OPEN CATEGORY – Participants may come from outside the locality of Dolores, different municipalities, barangays, schools, agencies of the province of Abra, or other provinces.
2. Each Group must have a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 100 dance performers excluding props men, instrumentalists and all other person involved in the preparation of the performance.
3. Costume must be a Christian rural costume or shall be associated with the theme of the presentation.
4. The FOREMOST hand props throughout the performances should be a SAKUTING STICK made of DANGLA or Bamboo as an alternative.
4. STREET DANCING – Each group will perform for 3 minutes along the selected areas of Dolores. Coaches will be informed of the judging points on the day itself.
5. DANCE SHOWDOWN/GROUND DEMONSTRATION – Each group will perform a minimum of seven (7) minutes but not more than ten (10) minutes including entrance and exit with live instruments. A yellow flag will be raised to signal the set-up of props, but not to exceed three (3) minutes. A white flag will be raised to signal the start of the presentation and a red flag will automatically be raised at lapse of the given time, hence, one (1) point deduction will commence.
6. Only props of manageable sizes are allowed on the streets and in the final showdown. Street dancing is a progressive and a free style interpretation.
7. There will be four (4) members of the distinguished board of judges and one (1) chairman of the board.

9. Contest proper for the street dancing will be judged along the streets and final showdown will be at the Dolores Town Plaza.
10. All competing registered non -winning contingents shall receive consolation prize.
11. All participating groups will be assigned to their respective designated Headquarters.
12. Pack-lunch will be served to all contingents.
13. Contingents will be gathered at the starting point in front of the Legislative Building at exactly 8:00 AM.
14. Contest proper for DANCE SHOWDOWN will follow immediately after the first contingent will arrive at the Dolores Town Plaza.
15. The decision of the Board of Judges will be final. Complaints and protest will not be accepted.
16. Submission of entries will be on March 25, 2012 to April 30, 2012.
17. Contest Proper will be on May 12, 2012 @ 8 a.m.
